ZEN/TCM SHIATSU PRACTITIONER CERTIFICATION

Distance Training

Self Paced with In-Person Practical and Exam

PRACTICAL DATES:

Semester 1: January 10 & 11, 2026 | 9-5pm (both days)

Semester 2: May 23 & 24, 2026 | 9-5pm (both days)

Written Exam: June 20th, 2026 | 9-5pm

This is a home study course with 2 weekends of practical work and written/practical exams.

​Course Requirements:

Relatively good health, Commitment to trade, Character reference (if new to me), Complete Grade 12 or GED for at least 1yr.

10 theory modules

Practical Studies

Clinical Practicum of 50 case studies

Final Exam (Theory / Practical) passing of 70%

All theory and practical work must be completed prior to Exam​​

All exams must be completed in the same calendar year as the 2nd semester of the enrolled year.

​​Completing the Program:  With the above requirements the student must have successfully passed theory / practical exams with at least 70% to receive a Zen/TCM Shiatsu Certificate.

​Become a *Registered Shiatsu Practitioner*:

Upon completion the student must have successfully passed theory exam and a practical SAWC board exam with at least 70% to receive a Registered Shiatsu Practitioner Certificate and #.

 

ZEN/TCM SHIATSU THERAPIST CERTIFICATION

- Semester 2: April 11 & 12, 2026 | 9-5pm (both days)

- Written Exam: June 20th, 2026 | 9-5pm

​Course Requirements: Successful completion of CERTIFICATE OF ZEN/TCM SHIATSU PRACTITIONER, CPR / First Aid Training, Anatomy & Physiology Basic Course (certified by a required institution), 490 hours of Integrated modalities of choice during or prior to completion of Advanced Shiatsu

​Course Outline:

7 Theory Modules

Practical Studies (Moxibustion, magnetic therapy, ear seeding and hot rock)

50 hours of practical work between registration and 2nd weekend of practical training

Clinical practicum- 50 hours within course, 100 documented practicum hours

Final Exam (theory / practical) passing of 70%​​​
